About Us
The Pilot Assistance Program is designed to train volunteers on the concepts and protocols of a confidential peer based program. The purpose is to help peers find support and resources related to personal and workplace challenges common to continuous high standard performance.
Four decades ago the founding group of pilots envisioned an effort to build a community of volunteer ‘Pilots Assistants’ whose goal would be to support any pilot in personal or professional trouble. Little did this pioneering group imagine that the Pilot Assistance movement would grow to its present day stature within the global pilot community. The work of Pilot Assistants is carried on in many countries and many airlines.
Now, more than ever, Pilot Assistance is needed everywhere in the world. The information presented in this program is drawn from the best thinking of many experts in the helping professions.
